The natural high quality of cork can be used to create design floors that resemble other natural materials. These include, for example, wood and mineral, which can hardly be distinguished from the original. In this respect, the outer bark of the cork oak optimises the aforementioned products with properties that go far beyond the appealing appearance. The cork flooring Cork Go Desire by WICANDERS®, which is inspired by amber-coloured wood, exerts a fascination of its own due to its colouring and grain. Desire - the longing - is thus for sunlight, which enhances the floor covering immensely in the incidence of light.

Air-filled materials have the great advantage that they can mostly bind pollutants from the ambient air. The physical principle of diffusion is therefore the decisive advantage with which a cork floor can enrich any living space. This breathability equally leads to a recommendation to use this type of material for asthmatics and allergy sufferers. Accordingly, the present flooring creation, which consists almost exclusively of the natural raw material cork, is to be rated as high quality. An exception is the dimension-stabilising HDF core board as the middle layer, which is firmly enclosed by the cork veneer, the cork base and a cork insulation underlay. This means that the flooring also has joint-protecting and impact sound-absorbing properties. With a WPS wear layer, the surface was also equipped with a protective sealant, which makes the floor scratch and abrasion resistant.

The cork tiles, which are joined together to form a tile, are relatively easy to put together using a CORKLOC® - Click connection. The result is an environmentally friendly floor covering with emission class A+. With a Greenguard plaque in gold as well as an EPD verification, the low-pollutant nature of the flooring is highlighted. The cork flooring has also been tested by TÜV Profi CERT and awarded the Blue Angel eco-label. In summary, this results in the following advantages:

With fine pores and inclusions in the material, the prehistory of past ages is rewritten and reminiscent of amber, in that there are plant or animal residues. The cork flooring in question thus oscillates between vintage and modern, forming a mosaic-like juxtaposition of different honey-yellow colour shades. With its natural colouring, the flooring is thus suitable for contemporary furnishing of one's apartment or house. The colourful appeal is soothing and warm.
