Skaben Vinyl Floor Adhesive - the ultra strong adhesion in flooring!

If vinyl flooring once went out of fashion, at least nowadays it has been rediscovered. In addition to suitable recycling processes, vinyl chloride, which was developed as early as 1835, has properties that can by no means be argued away. In fact, the thermoplastic chain polymer polyvinyl chloride, or PVC for short, is a very strong material that is one of the most productive among plastics. The removal of plasticizers, its energy recovery and recyclability make it an effective material despite environmental concerns. Consequently, manufacturers are striving for a circular economy, which makes the return and recyclability of these floor coverings an environmentally friendly novelty.

The carpet adhesive KLEBSTARK 6kg from SKABEN® is versatile!

As a process material, a flooring adhesive has to fulfil various standards and guidelines, which are carried out according to the specifications of the Industrieverband Klebstoffe e.V. (Industrial Association of Adhesives). The present PVC flooring adhesive KLEBSTARK from the brand manufacturer SKABEN® consists of acrylic acid ester copolymers, polyvinyl acetate as well as mineral fillers, preservatives and other additives which make the adhesive medium viscous. The material, which is best applied at an operating temperature of 18°C and a floor temperature of 15°C, requires a recommended humidity of 65 percent. The application method depends on the type of floor covering and must be carried out accordingly with predefined toothing. This can either be found in TKB data sheet 6 or should be carried out according to the manufacturer's instructions

While the consumption of the adhesive is approximately 250 to 450 grams per square metre, depending on requirements, one container is accordingly sufficient for a room size of 12 to 14 square metres. The SKABEN® flooring adhesive is also a multi-purpose adhesive that can be used for various floor coverings. The fibre-reinforced and high-tack wet-bed adhesive thus achieves its high final strength with design floor coverings, vinyl floor coverings, CV coverings as well as other plastic and textile coverings of various types. The installation time therefore also depends on the floor covering to be installed and has been designed by the manufacturer for an extra long processing time. In contrast, the setting time is approx. 48 to 72 hours and guarantees high dimensional stability and surface quality in the dry state.
