Parquet floor with joints
Parquet flooring with joints - a geometric masterpiece!
As a detail, the joint, i.e. the conditional gap between two components, is due to its recurring pattern. The fact that this surface also has an effect can be seen in the example of a rock wall, where the rock blanks are simply placed on top of each other. The joint pattern is effective in its entirety and may differ in the material and colour of the surface.
The surrounding chamfer and longitudinal edges chamfer!
The classic installation of floating or glued parquet without joints is not at all a must. The closed and calm impression of the overall surface can be interrupted by either a mini bevel or a chamfer in terms of design
It is the mini bevel that discreetly underlines the appearance of the floorboard. A distinction is made between them:
- 2V joint / Mini 2V joint
- 4V joint / Mini 4V joint
The bevelled longitudinal edges 2V of the plank support its length effect and thus create a spatial depth with an authentic impression. In contrast, the 4V bevel around the long and end sides of the plank emphasises the uniform overall appearance. Thus the floor advertises with charm and elegance.
