The joints on the long sides and the micro joints on the end sides underline the structure of the plank flooring. High-quality oak wood and a careful surface finish give these 2.20 m long planks their unique character. This parquet creates a natural, cosy ambience in any room.What are the characteristics of the "vital" grade?Oak wood with a distinctive structure and colour play is used for this assortment. Larger knots and cracks of varying thickness underline the robust naturalness of the floor. Larger cracks and knotholes are professionally filled. However, there may also be smaller knots and cracks that do not require filling. However, sapwood components are not included.What you need to consider before layingYoucan lay the parquet on a clean, firm, level subfloor, such as screed, tiles or an old wooden floor. It can also be used over underfloor heating. When laying on a screed, the residual moisture must not be too high. Follow the manufacturer's installation instructions. Any unevenness of more than 3 mm must be levelled out before laying the parquet. Since parquet is a living natural product, it must acclimatise before installation. To do this, lay it flat on the floor of the room in the unopened packages for at least 24 hours. The room temperature should be at least 15 °C and the relative humidity between 30 % and 65 %.This is how easy it is to install this Meister parquetThisMeister parquet is installed as a floating floor using the click connection - i.e. without paste or glue. When laying a floating hard floor, you need impact sound insulation. You lay this in the form of a thin PE foil before you start laying the parquet. The parquet of the first row is pushed into each other at the head ends and tapped firmly with a plastic hammer. The other rows are laid on the long sides at an angle of 20° to 30° and pressed down. This closes the click connection. To bring the planks to size at the ends of the rows, they do not have to be sawn. You simply score the planks with a cutter knife and then break them off.Use the leftover piece from one row to start the next row. This will give you the necessary offset.
