Their core is a board made of highly compressed wood fibres. On its top side is an antistatic decorative paper covered by a transparent melamine resin layer. On the underside of the board is a backing that gives the plank its dimensional stability. Due to the high wood content, this laminate is almost CO2 neutral. As the laminate is laid as a floating floor, there is no contamination with glue or paste. Therefore, the laminate flooring can be easily removed again and disposed of if necessary. Smaller quantities, such as leftover pieces from installation, can be disposed of with household waste. Larger quantities can be disposed of as bulky waste.
