Acoustic insulation underlay Wineo soundPROTECT Profi - the durable all-rounder

This acoustic mat is the ideal footfall sound insulation for all hard floor coverings such as parquet or laminate. In addition to noise reduction, this mat is also suitable for levelling out small unevenness in the subfloor. If this insulation underlay is to be used on mineral substrates, such as concrete or screed, a vapour barrier must be laid beforehand. This ensures that the moisture rising from the subfloor does not penetrate the floor covering

How is this acoustic insulation underlay constructed?

This insulating underlay consists of 90 % renewable raw materials. Rapeseed and castor oils as well as mineral fillers are the healthwise harmless and environmentally friendly components of the acoustic insulation underlay. The base material is bio-polyurethane (ecuran).

Why do you need an acoustic insulation underlay?

Especially on hard floor coverings, such as parquet or laminate, you cannot move without producing noise. These noises that can be heard in the room itself are called walking noises. The part of the walking sound that is transmitted via the floor, ceiling and walls into adjacent rooms is called impact sound. If a hard floor covering is laid floating, this floor covering, the subfloor and the air cushion between them form a resonance space that amplifies the impact sound. The acoustic insulation underlay reduces both walking and impact sound and thus ensures pleasant room acoustics. This is not only easy on your nerves, but also on your relationship with any neighbours you may have. Therefore, impact sound insulation is mandatory for floating installation of laminate and parquet flooring
